- Sankalp details: gotra, city, and the wish/intention you record
- Puja booking details: occasion, preferred date, and contextual fields depending on the puja (e.g. names of family members, wedding date, or details of a departed relative for memorial rituals)
- Donation details: amount, cause selected, and PAN number if you request an 80G tax receipt
- Payment information: processed directly by our payment partner, Razorpay. We do not store your card, UPI, or banking details on our servers
- Location: if you grant permission, we use your approximate location to calculate shipping charges for prasad delivery
- Account information: if you sign in, we store your email address and login activity
2. How We Use Your Information
- To process and confirm your sankalp, puja booking, or donation
- To send you confirmation emails and SMS messages related to your activity
- To generate donation receipts, including 80G tax receipts where PAN is provided
- To calculate accurate shipping charges for prasad delivery
- To let you view your own history if you create an account
- To improve the Service and respond to support requests
3. How We Protect Your Information
Your data is stored on secured MongoDB Atlas infrastructure. Payment processing is handled entirely by Razorpay, a licensed payment aggregator regulated by the Reserve Bank of India — we never see or store your full card or banking details. Admin access to the platform is password-protected and restricted to authorized personnel only.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:
- Razorpay, to process your payment
- Our email and SMS providers, solely to deliver confirmation messages you are entitled to receive
- Temple or pandit partners, where necessary to fulfil a puja booking you have made (e.g. your name and preferred date)
We do not share your information with any third party for their independent marketing purposes.
5. Your Choices
- You may decline to share your location — shipping charges will then be estimated using a standard rate
- Providing a PAN number is optional and only required if you want an 80G receipt
- Creating an account is entirely optional — you can use every feature of the Service anonymously
- You may contact us at any time to request a copy of, correction to, or deletion of your personal data
6. Data Retention
We retain sankalp, donation, and puja booking records to maintain your history, provide receipts, and meet applicable tax and accounting obligations. If you request deletion of your account, we will remove your personally identifiable information, though anonymized transaction records may be retained for accounting purposes.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
